Who produced First Map of India?

  Answer-  James Rennel James Rennel was an English Historian, Geographer and Oceanographer. He is called as the  Father of oceanography. He first produced a detailed map of India for the first time in the year 1782, on the direction of Robert Clive. He produced the first accurate map of  Bengal province of Mughal era.

Educational Qualifications Needed for NDA Exam and CDSE

If you want to pursue your career as a Permanent Commissioned Officer in Army, Navy or Air Force then you have to pass entrance exams of National Defense Academy (NDA) or Combined Defence Services Examinations (CDSE) conducted by Union Public Service Commission annually two times as NDA-I &II and CDSE-I & II. History of Educational Development in India from period 1813 to 1947

Charter Act of 1813 It marked the beginning of modern or western education in India. The Act sanctioned Rs.1.00 Lakhs for education. Three Sanskrit Colleges at Calcutta, Delhi and Agra were set up. Why India is called as a Union of States and not a Federation?

INDIA: UNION OF STATES Article 1 of the Indian Constitution describes India i.e. Bharat as a Union of States and not a Federation of States. Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar in the debate of Constituent Assembly had explained the difference between a Federation and a Union while justifying India as Union of States. He explained, that USA came into existence by the agreement among the northern and southern states States of USA i.e. here American states by coming together through a compact or agreement created a country. Therefore, USA is example of a Federation. In a Federation a State has right to secede from the Federation.
